The PsyCop short stories are vignettes, tilting more towards romance than the longer pieces (novellas, novels). Moments in the life. Sweet, but probably best read as treats if you're already attached to the characters from the longer narratives, rather than in strict chronological order -- not enough is established in them to pull a new reader in.
