Nina, Mel, and Avery are best friends. Nina goes away for the summer to brain camp and falls in love. Mel and Avery also fall in love--with each other.
This is a light, breezy read which nonetheless effectively conveys some important realizations about sexuality, class, and race. The ending may be a bit too fairy tale, but I didn't mind. I enjoyed it, but it all felt kind of sketchy -- not quite vivid enough to stick. Good beach or travel reading.
