Night Season - Eileen Wilks Paranormal romance with much better than average world-building; I loved the demon turned gnome. Sadly, the romance is the weakest part of the story; the emotional connection between the brash, insecure, working-class-girl-trying-to-make-good Cyna and the smooth, suave werewolf felt much more described than developed.

It was the first of Wilks' books I read, and I liked it better before I read the earlier books in the series, when I assumed that the missing relationship development was earlier instead of nonexistent.
